For many companies, a website redesign, or launch of a new website happens very rarely. Technology updates rapidly and the team that manages your website may have changed over the years. We help guide what you’ll need to discover, create or organize to make this project a success. Then, we follow our design process.
The first step is to discover more about you, your company’s vision, and to build a strong relationship. This is where we will work with you to determine your short term goals, long terms goals and areas of your business that could be improved online.
Often these meetings start with a Zoom call (occasionally in person depending on location) and you’ll leave this discussion with a clear action plan and we’ll prepare an easy way to organize those plans.
Following the initial meetup, we will outline your project, create milestones, and agree on priorities. Now we have a strategic plan in place that aligns with your initial vision and makes your goals achievable.
This will all be added to a shared document (Google Docs or your preferred editor) where you can begin adding content, collecting media (in a shared Dropbox folder or your preferred storage service) or reorganizing content based on our prior conversations.
The Site Outline and all the content described within it guides the next steps as we build a staging site where you can follow along in the browser – on your desktop or phone – as we design your website.
We start with navigation between pages and interior pages to help guide decisions on style before building our landing pages and homepage.
Throughout the whole process, you’ll be part of the team and help guide us with your feedback.
Here we review all aspects of the website. Testing takes place, which ensures the quality of your project. This is the most valuable step because your reputation is our reputation!
Our team will look through the new website for any issues and correct mistakes in alignment, grammar and links. Once complete, we’ll ask your team to run through the website. Final corrections are made and we plan for launch!
Now that we’re ready for launch we’ll transition the website to your domain, ensure your email and custom DNS are in place and start providing maintenance, security and your chosen hosted service options.
